Разработка игры началась в 2001 году, правда тогда она называлась «Oblivion Lost» (русск. Потерянное забвение) и отношения к Чернобылю не имела. Сюжет был завязан на постройках ацтеков и иных мирах. Через год, в 2002, после поездки компании GSC Game World в Чернобыль концепция игры полностью изменилась. Теперь она называлась «S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost» и стала напрямую относиться к ЧАЭС. И через некоторое время снова повторилась история с появившейся в интернете сборкой, уже под номером 1154. В сборке присутствует две территории, это: В марте 2003 года появился издатель игры — компания THQ. После появления издателя назвали первую дату релиза — середина 2004 года. Но игра не вышла, а релиз был перенесен на 2005 год. Затем опять что-то произошло и выпуск игры был снова отложен. В 2005 году в интернете появилась новая сборка игры, на этот раз — мультиплеерная.Дату релиза мировое сообщество узнало в 2006 году, это было мартом 2007. Действие происходит в альтернативной реальности, где 12 апреля 2008 года (тут есть противоречие — в самой игре приведена дата 12 апреля 2008, а на официальном сайте — 12 апреля 2006 года) в 14.33 произошёл второй взрыв на территории печально известной Чернобыльской атомной электростанции. Этот взрыв ознаменовал появление так называемой «Зоны», места, внутри которого появляются разнообразные аномальные явления, например, разнонаправленные гравитационные потоки силой более 100g. |  Сколько модов по тень чернобыля. самый нормальный Мод Исторя прибоя. Зона поражение 1,2 глупые моды, т.к там выжить нереально разработчик этого мода наверно не дружит с головой, да и озвучка херовая
